DAILY DEVOTIONAL:

Brandon McAlister, one of our Children’s Interns, leads us through a devotional in Hebrews 4 today. We can come confidently to Jesus in our time of need!

UNITED PRAYER:

Pray for the unity of the Church, that all believers in Christ would unite together despite differences in opinion, location, or even language. Pray that we would be a united beacon of light for all to see!

“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me.” John 17:20-21 NIV

FAMILY RESOURCES:

BIBLE VERSES:

Let’s read Job 38-42. In one of the most hopeless situations in the Bible, God spoke to Job. He knelt down and answered Job’s cry. Job’s response? Worship.

Then Job replied to the Lord:
2 “I know that you can do all things;
    no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
3 You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’
    Surely I spoke of things I did not understand,
    things too wonderful for me to know.
4 “You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak;
    I will question you,
    and you shall answer me.’
5 My ears had heard of you
    but now my eyes have seen you.
6 Therefore I despise myself
    and repent in dust and ashes.”

God loved Job. He loves you too and wants to meet you! No plan of his can be thwarted!
